Now, I know reruns were popular on television because you can miss an episode and need the chance to see it again; or filling airspace with a show that is popular enough to attract new viewers. In this case, reruns are useful and helpful.
In the online world, not so much. I’ve seen this a few times, a couple web comics and one web video series, where when they need filler because they didn’t finish in time, they do a rerun of an old episode… that is viewable from the archive!
Not to try calling anyone out or sound like I’m just being sensitive but this just doesn’t seem very logical. The rerun isn’t anything people haven’t seen yet, and isn’t something people can’t just go back and look at. It also makes the archive confusing to have the same comic appearing 3-4 times or spans of time with a lot of ‘reruns’ making it hard to tell where you are at if you actually are looking back for a specific comic.
Its just not useful, or entertaining enough to fill in for an actual filler comic. Anyways, this is just a little thing off the top of my head that’s been on my mind.
